Threw 6 dinner plates (11.25″ x 1.5″) for an order using 3.5 lbs. Bmix each.

Took a load of pottery to the Volcano Art Center Gallery.

Rolled out 6 – 8″ x 19″ x 3/8″ slabs for serving platters using recycled Bmix and Death Valley/Bmix clay for an order and inventory.

Sent out serving bowls and slab platter to Kauai via Fed Ex Priority.

Rolled out 12 – 8″ x 19″ x 3/8″ slabs for serving platters using recycled Death Valley and Death Valley/Bmix clay for an order and inventory.

Unloaded the Bailey glaze kiln.

Packed up serving bowls and platters for shipment to Lawai International tomorrow.

A couple from Colorado stopped by to order a dinnerware set.

Fired the Bailey glaze kiln in 10 hours 35 minutes with 20 minutes reduction at the end. Using self-supporting Orton cones (9 & 10) with cone 10 at 3 o’clock position at the bottom peep hole when stopped firing. Temperature at the highest was 2280 F and at the end of firing (and reduction) was 2260 F. Very full load with 5 layers of shelves and was surprised that the firing went so fast.

Rolled out 4 slabs (7″ x 36″ x 3/8″) using recycled Death Valley clay for an order of vases. Formed the vases and will attach the bottom tomorrow.
