Rolled out 12 – 10″x10″ slabs for a salad plate order using recycled Bmix clay. Molded all the slabs into plates when they were dry enough .
Threw 15 tumblers for an order using 25 lbs. of Bmix clay.
The belt for the wheel arrived today.
Results of 5-23-2021 Glaze Firing
Unloaded the glaze kiln and J. of Nalu Builds came by to pick up their order.
Threw 31 tumblers using 50 lbs. of Death Valley clay for an order and inventory.
Bailey Kiln Glaze Fire
Fired the Bailey kiln (5 shelf layers) today for 12 hours 05 minutes (30 minute reduction at the end) using 14 % propane (maximum 10″ water column pressure).
There were 3 earthquakes on the Hilina Pali fault zone today (Magnitudes 3.4, 3.6 and 4.2) – I felt the 4.2 earthquake and hope the pottery in the kiln was not affected.
Finished glazing and loaded the Bailey kiln for a glaze firing tomorrow.
