Prepared the Turquoise Matt and Chun White glazes for tomorrow’s glazing.

Checked out new Shimpo wheel prices and found they are about $1200 before shipping. Decided to see if I can repair my old wheel.

Worked on the pottery wheel and discovered that the belt was loose (probably stretched from 30 years of use). I tightened it as much as possible and it slightly improved the performance of the wheel. I will order another belt.

Because the wheel has been under performing, I decided to stop adding more coils on this vessel and the finished size ended up 21″ wide at the top x 10″ tall (half as tall as intended). I’ll do the larger vessel after I replace the belt on the wheel.
