Customers from Hilo and Volcano came to pick up their orders.

Unloaded the Bailey glaze kiln and the firing was fairly good with no pinholes in the Turquoise Matt glaze although two mugs had some running of the Turquoise Matt glaze onto the shelf.

Neighbor C.S. came to pick up mugs and a ceramic lantern.

Fired the Bailey glaze kiln to cone 11 at 3 o’clock position in 12 hours with a 15 minute reduction at the end of the firing. Used 13 % propane.

Unloaded the Bailey glaze kiln. Fewer pinholes than the last firing in the Turquoise Matt glaze but some T.M. glazed pieces ran slightly onto the shelves. Flambe Blue glaze slightly weak, Chun glaze good. Medium – strong reduction firing – cone 11 at 3 o’clock. All in all, a good firing.

Reloaded the Bailey kiln for a glaze firing tomorrow.
