Customers from Captain Cook and San Diego stopped by to pick up some pottery.
Went to Hilo and picked up 200 lbs B mix & 200 lbs Death Valley clays from High Fire Hawaii. Prepped 75 lbs of Bmix for throwing.
Finished loading the Bailey bisque kiln and will fire it tomorrow.
Started loading the Bailey kiln for a bisque fire. Waiting for slab dinner plates to dry to be included in the firing.
Threw 6 pasta plates (11″ wide x 3″ tall) for an order using 3.75 lbs B mix clay. Also threw 7 dinner plates (11.5″ wide x 1.75″ tall) for part of an order using 3.75 lbs B mix clay.
E.S. and J. from Hilo came by to order 4 pasta bowls (left a sample) & 1 sake tokkuri and buy some pottery.
Prepped 50 lbs. Bmix clay for throwing tomorrow.
Molded the 4 slabs into dinner plates and rolled out 12 more 12″ x 12″ x 5/16″ slabs using recycled mix clay for inventory.
Slabs dried nicely due to the dry, windy weather and was able to mold all 12 slabs into dinner plates.
