Took a load of pottery to the VAC gallery.
Started loading the Bailey bisque kiln and will fire when the rest of the pottery dries.
Rolled out and molded 5 slabs (5″ x 10″ x 1/4″) for sushi plates and 24 ring plate slabs for inventory.
Attached bottoms to the hanging vases. Took the rest of the day off because of a sore back.
Wall Vases
Finished trimming teacups.
Rolled out 15 – 6″ x 15″ x 3/16″ slabs for wall vases using recycled mixed clay. Rolled slabs into 15″ cylinders and will attach bottoms when the cylinders are dry enough.
Neighbor brought over a bag of Ohia wood ash from his fireplace – will use it as a glaze.
Molded slabs into plates, finished trimming mugs and started on teacups. Neighbor came by to buy bowls.
